Oriental Lace - Fauna

This is the first of two sets. The second will be Oriental Lace - Flora. All of the designs can be stitched on regular fabric, tulle or organza. The designs with satin borders can be made freestanding if stitched on tulle or organza. I stitched the sun catcher below on organza without needing any stabilizer. You will receive instructions for the samples shown in the pictures. This set is very versatile. You can make items like I have below, or make medallions and stitch them on clothing or linens, make a sheer curtain using the border and scattering lace designs throughout or combine several of the designs for an allover lace effect. They are also appropriate for quilting designs. There are no jumps (except to the satin stitch border) so they stitch up quickly and easily. I stitched the cranes on a nightgown made of very stretchy satin Lycra and as you can see, they are very appropriate for knit fabrics.
