The ancestry of the Tadjik people goes back 4000 years. This ethnic group has lived in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Pakistan and China, along the *Silk Road*. Originally influenced by Persian arts, you can see their influence in the textile work of many countries. They have a rich cultural history of textile ornament. Their embroideries are taken from flowers and vegetation and is always very decorative. This is a companion set to Ancient Russian Florals I and they can be used together.
