Coffee can probably be called a universal drink
and the aroma of fresh ground beans is hard to resist.
This is the second set in the Coffee series. Below
I have used designs from this set and Coffee
I to make a table mat. I stitched the designs
on squares and then stitched colored sashing between
them with a plain border. I put a layer of batting
underneath and a layer of muslin below the batting.
I then stitched in the ditch around the sashings
and also around the outlines of the designs. To
finish the mat I put a piece of fabric on top of
the mat and stitched around the edge, leaving a
small opening to turn. I then stitched around the
mat to create a *mock* edging. A very quick and
easy project. It could also be adapted for placemats
or a wall hanging.
