Oh! Those Forties Ladies

Nancy Schallner, one of my customers, wrote to me after she stitched the set, Oh! Those fifties Ladies, and asked if I would be interested in digitizing some drawings her Mother had done in 1945. My late mother, Margaret Robertson, created these designs as a Junior in high school in 1945. They were most likely done as art projects, but her love for originality, fashion and design, as well as her beauty, took her into fashion and modeling from high school through college. Her only design that was actually created into a dress was her wedding gown, sewn by her grandmother in 1949. Modeling and fashion design were put aside after her marriage and raising three girls. After seeing Sue's Fifties Ladies, I just knew she needed some Forties Ladies and thought it a "fitting" tribute to my mother to have these digitized for all the world to see. Thank you Sue!
