Receiving a box of silk fabric from Sylvia, the lady who sometimes sells silk on my group, gave me the inspiration for this quilt. The colors looked so great together I had to use them! I used the old monochrome Japanese landscape paintings for the general idea and added characters and foliage. You will receive full instructions, patterns and templates to complete your Art Quilt from creating the background to embellishing. I include instructions for novice quilters (no free motion) and how to get more complex for those of you that quilt. Finished size of embroidered section is 16 inches wide x 20 inches high. You can add sashings as narrow or wide as you wish.
