These designs have been designed so you can
create your own lace creations! You can embroider your favorite
designs or lettering on top of these Blanks. You can use any
design as long as it fits within the inner border of the lace
design. The pieces of lace can be stitched together using
a simple zig zag stitch on your regular sewing machine. If
you have design editing software, you can combine several
of these into one large piece of lace or stitch many of them
at a time to fill the hoop.
These designs are totally free standing and
can be stitched with confidence on only water soluble stabilizer.
Of course, you can also stitch them on fabric. You can use
the *loops* in our Free Design section to turn these into
hanging ornaments. You can use regular 40 wt rayon or poly
thread, or metallic thread. I would recommend using the same
thread in the bobbin as in the top if you are going to hang
these as ornaments. These designs are very delicate. If you
want more substantial lace, stitch the background twice before
stitching the borders or designs you have added.
