Barbara Del Duco and I have collaborated again. I've always loved crazy quilts and did a few many years ago, but they take so much time. These squares stitch up quickly. You get three versions of each design: one that uses fabric appliqué pieces, one that just stitches on one piece of fabric and a third version that creates it's own fabric with sheer sections of color. You can use just one type in a project or combine all three for endless possibilities. Some of them can be put together to create a circle as done in the wall hanging below.
You will get full instructions for Barbara's great purse! Barbara has also created wonderful instructions for these designs which you will receive with your designs. In addition to the projects shown you can make a needle case, a napkin with one square in the corner or perhaps checked or striped fabric, heart shaped pendant, tea cozy, Christmas stocking, doll blanket, soft satin case for delicates. The list is endless. There are a lot of things you can do with these designs!!
This pillow took only a few hours to make and cost practically nothing. I used an old sheet for the fabric to stitch the designs, small bits of leftover thread and some ribbon from Jo-Ann's $1 ribbon packs.
One of Barbara's Crazy Quilt Purses - the design is from the BFC Set *Chinese Butterflies*
Barbara's purse. You will receive full instructions to make this great purse with your designs. The design is from *Nouveau Oriental*
I used small bits of leftover silk fabrics to make the fabric pieced versions of the designs for this wall hanging. I used straight strips of brocade and small gold yarn to finish it.
